Aileen B. Cho, MA, RDT/BCT, CEDS, LMFT

Aileen B. Cho, MA, RDT/BCT, CEDS, LMFT (Psychotherapist, Registered Drama Therapist / Board Certified Trainer, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist) is a 2nd generation Korean-American born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She has a keen sensitivity and competence around cross-cultural and immigration issues, as well as awareness around the intersections between historical, intergenerational, societal and personal trauma. Aileen earned her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology & Drama Therapy (Marriage & Family Therapist Track) from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Theatre (Area of Focus in Psychology) from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Prior to graduate school, Aileen received California-certified training to work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault (DVSA) and has experience working as a crisis hotline counselor and Korean interpreter at a DVSA shelter and resource center in Los Angeles, CA. Her past clinical experiences include training and working in community mental health, the VA, middle school and high school settings and various treatment settings (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient) for eating disorders in the Bay Area and Southern California. Aileen also teaches as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Master's Level Drama Therapy Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, CA.
